Chandigarh: Celebrating upcoming World Environment Day 2021, Yuvsatta and Department of Environment, Chandigarh Administration initiated an ‘Inter-School Short Mobile Video Contest’ on the theme of ‘Correlation of Viruses, Environment & Humans’.

Sharing his concerns Pramod Sharma, Coordinator, Yuvsatta said that ‘The COVID19 pandemic has brought the entire humanity to its knees. Before people misunderstand viruses and launch an all-out war that will do more harm to us then to the viruses, we at Yuvsatta-NGO along with Department of Environment, Chandigarh Administration, asked local Schools to motivate their students to learn and understand the correlations between past, present viruses, environment and humans and later based on their observations submit a short mobile video of less than three minutes in any language of their choice on the theme. And it's heartening to see that in the past one week over 600 short videos got posted on the given theme by students from 35 prominent Schools of the city.

In the end Sh. Debendra Dalai, Director, Department of Environment shared that the pandemic has no doubt affected all of us in diverse ways but in these difficult times it is appropriate that we reflect upon our actions to understand what needs to change in our lives to avoid such situations in the future?
